ACE Introductory to Basic Computer Skills Course - Linux Operating Systems

Introduction to Linux Course This five-week course, running one day a week, is designed for people who want to build their confidence using technology and take their computer skills to the next level. Linux is a free and reliable operating system used all over the world, and this course will introduce you to the Linux desktop environment, show you how Linux differs from Windows and MacOS, and give you the confidence to make it your own -- including a first look at the terminal, Linux's powerful text-based interface. FREE for people who are: • 18 years old and above and currently not enrolled at school • A South Australian resident or hold a valid work or study visa • Comfortable using a mouse and keyboard, opening and closing applications, and saving and finding files on a computer • Not sure if this course is right for you? If you're new to computers, our Basic Computer Skills for Study & Employment course is a great place to start -- it will give you the foundation you need to get the most out of this course.
