Do you already perform facial massage but feel like there's another level you haven't quite reached? Maybe you find yourself repeating the same movements. Perhaps some transitions still feel awkward, you're unsure whether your pressure is right, or you find yourself concentrating so much on remembering what comes next that your massage doesn't flow as naturally as you'd like. Or maybe you're already giving massages — but you want someone experienced to watch you work and help you refine the little details. Confident Touch: Facial Massage Refinement has been created for therapists who already have facial massage experience and want to take their technique further. This is not about learning another routine. It's about understanding your hands, refining your existing technique and developing a massage style that feels natural, confident and individual to you. ONLY 4 THERAPISTS This workshop is intentionally limited to just 4 participants. Why? Because refinement requires attention. I want time to actually watch how you work — your hand placement, pressure, body positioning, transitions, rhythm and flow — and give you individual feedback. We'll troubleshoot the things that aren't quite working, refine what you're already doing well and introduce new techniques that you can incorporate into your existing massage. This is much closer to small-group coaching than a traditional large workshop. WHAT WE'LL WORK ON During our four hours together, we'll explore: • Refining your existing facial massage technique • Pressure, pace and rhythm • Hand placement and positioning • Creating smoother, almost seamless transitions • Advanced massage movements and techniques • Face, neck, décolletage, jaw and temple work • Creating a massage that flows rather than feels like a series of individual movements • Adapting your massage to the client in front of you • Working with different skin types and concerns • Creating deeper relaxation and improving the overall client experience • Therapist positioning and body mechanics • Troubleshooting areas where you feel awkward or unsure • Introducing new movements without losing your existing style • Developing confidence to move away from a memorised routine WE ARE NOT LEARNING A ROUTINE This is one of the biggest differences between Foundations and Refinement. In my Foundations workshop, beginners are given a simple sequence to practise while they develop confidence with touch. Refinement is different. I don't want everyone leaving performing exactly the same massage. Instead, we'll look at the principles behind great facial massage and help you understand how movements can connect, change and adapt. I'll show you techniques. You'll experience them. You'll practise them. Then we'll look at how they could fit into the massage you already perform. The goal is for you to leave with more tools, better technique and greater confidence — while still developing a massage style that feels like you. LEARN BY FEELING You'll work in pairs throughout the practical component and take turns being both therapist and client. Feeling a technique is incredibly valuable. It allows you to understand the difference that a small change in pressure, pace, hand placement or transition can make. We'll use that experience to analyse and refine the way you work. WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? Confident Touch: Facial Massage Refinement is designed for people who already have some experience performing facial massage. It may be perfect for you if you're: • A beauty or skin therapist wanting to elevate your facial massage • A massage therapist incorporating facial work into treatments • A cosmetic nurse or skin professional who already performs facial massage • A therapist who feels stuck repeating the same routine • Looking for individual feedback on your existing technique • Wanting to develop better flow, transitions and confidence This is NOT a beginner workshop. You should already feel reasonably comfortable touching and massaging the face before attending. If you're completely new to facial massage, Confident Touch: Facial Massage Foundations is the better place to start. ONLINE TRAINING INCLUDED Your workshop also includes complimentary access to my supporting online facial massage training resource. This gives you somewhere to revisit techniques and principles after the face-to-face workshop and continue developing your skills in your own time. The four-hour workshop is where we can work closely together on your hands and technique. The online resource is there when you want to revisit and practise. BEFORE THE WORKSHOP You'll receive a pre-workshop questionnaire asking about: • Your current experience • The type of facial massage you currently perform • What you feel confident with • Where you feel you get stuck • Techniques you'd like help refining • What you'd most like to get from the workshop I'll use your answers to help shape the session around the four therapists actually attending. You'll also receive further information about what to wear and how to prepare for the practical session. Students will work on each other, so you'll need to be comfortable both giving and receiving facial massage. Please arrive without makeup where possible and keep nails short and smooth. IMPORTANT INFORMATION This is a non-accredited professional development workshop and does not provide a formal qualification or accredited certification. The workshop is designed for therapists with previous facial massage experience who want to develop and refine their practical skills. Participants are responsible for ensuring they hold any qualifications, insurance or other requirements necessary for services they provide professionally. CANCELLATIONS & TRANSFERS Due to the extremely small class size and limited availability, tickets are non-refundable for cancellations or change of mind.
