[MENTAL HEALTH MONTH EVENT] : Together Means All Of Us

October is Mental Health Month and this year the theme is Together We Thrive. We know that recent world and local events may have increased feelings of overwhelm and disconnection for some South Australians. For so many of us, life is really hard at the moment. We also know that spaces where we can come together and speak openly with people who get it can be incredibly healing. That is the power of lived experience. LELAN has heard from community that whilst events during October often increase feelings of connection and solidarity for those able to attend there are also many who miss out. Some people have the choice taken away from them to participate in these community focused events (either due to being in hospital or being otherwise incarcerated). This year we want to make it clear that they are part of our community. Join us as we write and send messages of solidarity and moments of lightness to folks who would otherwise miss out this Mental Health Month. These could look like cards, letters, or pieces of art. Saturday 24 October 10am — 2pm drop in any time and stay for as little or as long as you want Inparilla (Wyatt Benevolent Trust), 161 Frome Street, Adelaide SA Some craft supplies and snackage provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies if you have ideas on what you would like to create and send.
