Tinker Tribe - Monthly Meetup 11 V2 (October 2026)

This is the August meeting for our future makerspace; which means for lively discussion! This is for people who enjoy sharing projects and ideas. This group might be for you if you watch YouTubers like Clickspring, AVE, Colin Furze, This Old Tony, Not An Engineer, and/or more. We will take this opportunity to socialise and discuss this new makerspace in the city of Ipswich. You will have the opportunity to ask: • How this new makerspace will be uniquely positioned for the future in both Ipswich and Brisbane • our targets, milestones and timeframes • What has worked well and what hasn't for similar organisations • the planned structure of the organisation • events and opportunities for new makerspace You will also have the opportunity to hear the history of makerspaces/hackerspaces and the ways they have improved over the years. These meetups are an excellent opportunity to network with similar minded individuals. Each person who attends this meeting will be part of the early team in a rapidly growing community organisation.
