This one-day Introduction to Procurement course provides a comprehensive overview of the ACT Government Procurement Framework, helping you understand the legislative requirements, procurement principles and stakeholder responsibilities that underpin effective procurement practice. Throughout the course, you'll explore the full procurement lifecycle, from identifying business needs and approaching the market through to evaluation, contract management and supplier engagement. Using practical case studies, interactive activities and real-world scenarios, you'll gain valuable insight into key topics such as probity, risk management and achieving value for money. By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence to contribute to procurement activities with integrity, transparency and accountability, while building skills that can support your career development in the public sector. This course is ideal for those currently working in, or looking to move into, procurement roles within the ACT Government. Eligibility and entry requirements To enrol in this course, you must be aged 17 years or older, and be one of the following: • an Australian citizen or permanent resident • a New Zealand citizen • the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa • an eligible temporary visa holder as defined in the CIT Admission and Enrolment Policy.
