About this event
Michelle Griffin leads a discussion-based workshop on designing public sector workplaces to be neuroinclusive by default, exploring accessibility, inclusion, and the role of AI technology through conversation and shared experiences.
Full description from organizerShow less
How might we design public sector workplaces to be more neuroinclusive by default, reducing the need for people to repeatedly navigate individual adjustment processes? This discussion-based workshop will begin with a short scene-setter before opening into a broader conversation about what neuroinclusive workplace design could look like in practice. Participants will be invited to bring their own experiences and perspectives to questions around workplace accessibility, inclusion and productivity, and to consider where digital technology, including AI, might have a useful role to play. The discussion will also open up questions about how workplace policies and procedures are designed and navigated, how conversations about workplace adjustments are supported, and how workplace practices can better enable equitable access, participation and contribution. This may include exploring where a technology- or AI-enabled solution could help make some of these processes easier to navigate or support better conversations. Rather than working towards a predetermined solution, the session will create space to explore ideas, test assumptions and learn across different organisational and sector contexts. Facilitator: Michelle Griffin is a Director of AI and Digital Enablement within the DRC Implementation Taskforce at the Australian Public Service Commission. AI CoLab events are intentionally open and collaborative. For this session we may capture photos to share publicly. This is done in line with the Charter’s values; transparent, ethical innovation and knowledge sharing to accelerate collective learning (see join.aicolab.org). By participating in this event, you agree to being photographed and for those images to be shared in accordance with this policy.
