Richmond Peonies Open Day and PYO Saturday Nov 28

Our annual PYO peony open day is a wonderful family-friendly event, where you can wander amongst rows of peony bushes, picnic on the grass and pick your own blooms. Each peony flower will be $5 per stem and we have a range of potted peonies for sale. Bring your own secateurs and learn how to pick a peony when it is ready to harvest. There will be a Salvation Army BBQ and their Coffee Van and they will be serving hot and cold drinks as they train young baristas. Ricardo will bring his award winning Canopy Ice Cream and will be serving amongst all the other flavours, ice-cream made from our own Morello cherries. Remember it is a farm paddock, so sensible shoes please. Friendly dogs on leads are welcome! Plenty of parking on site. Before you come, watch this short video which demonstrates at what stage to pick a peony to get maximum life from your flower! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5m_-2MT1414 PLEASE NOTE! We are absolutely at the vagaries of the weather! We hope and plan for good weather on the day and for the peonies to flower on cue, but we trust you understand that sometimes things don't perform as expected, if the event has to be cancelled or re-scheduled, we offer a refund on tickets. We ticket our open day so we can provide the best and safest visitor experience. Funds from the tickets are donated to Tasmania's Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary which operates a 24 hour wildlife rescue service and manages a number of wildlife conservation programs.
