A Day for DAs brings together practical education, industry knowledge and everyday strategies designed specifically for the dental assisting team. Join us for a full day of learning covering infection prevention, equipment care and maintenance, ergonomics, four-handed dentistry, communication and wellbeing. The program has been designed around the real-world responsibilities of Dental Assistants, with practical information and take-home knowledge that can be applied back in the dental practice. On the programme The day will cover: • Infection prevention & AS/NZS 5369:2023 updates – refresh your knowledge of current infection prevention principles and their application within the dental practice. • Dental chair & waterline maintenance – understand routine care and maintenance practices that help support safe, reliable dental equipment. • Ergonomics & four-handed dentistry – practical approaches to improving efficiency, positioning and teamwork in the surgery. • Health, wellbeing & the team approach – explore the importance of wellbeing and how the whole dental team can contribute to a healthier workplace. • Suction system care and maintenance – learn the fundamentals of maintaining dental suction systems and supporting their long-term performance. • Handpiece maintenance – practical guidance on correct handpiece care and maintenance. • Communication & team dynamics – strategies for stronger communication and more effective teamwork within the dental practice.
