Hobsons Bay Yacht Club Active Inclusion workshop

Our foundational workshop is an engaging, interactive session designed to help participants explore their own experiences and understand how these shape their interactions with others. Through this, participants recognise the important role they play in creating inclusive environments and the impact of everyday actions and processes. Participants will gain practical tools to actively welcome and include all community members, regardless of background. The workshop focuses on building sporting environments that reflect the diversity of the broader community and foster a genuine sense of belonging for all. Active Inclusion Learning outcomes: • Reflect on personal experiences and understand how they shape interactions with others. • Build practical skills to create safe, welcoming and inclusive community sport environments. • Recognise how individual actions and broader systems interact to influence participation and inclusion. • Apply simple, practical strategies to strengthen welcoming and inclusive practices within club activities.
