The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is hosting an Ophthalmology Nurse Study Day. The course will include the following topics: • Anatomy and physiology of the eye • Basic ophthalmic nursing • Ophthalmic assessment • Diabetes and ophthalmology • Ophthalmic medications • Pre and Post op ophthalmology care • Caring for patient with low vision • Consumer perspective Specialty topics include: • Cornea • Thyroid Eye Disease & Oculoplastics • Cataracts At the completion of this study day, participants will be able to: • Identify and discuss ophthalmic anatomy and physiology. • Revise and expand their knowledge and understanding of common eye conditions. Cafe voucher for lunch provided. * program/topics subject to change
