Spring Workshop for Homeschool Families - Family Yoga & Nature Art Prints (Kids Aged 6 - 12) @ Greensborough

💖 Homeschool Families are invited to a special Spring session of connection and creativity at our Family Yoga & Nature Art Prints Workshop, designed for children aged 6 - 12 to participate in together with their parent or carer. 🧘 This is your chance to unplug from your busy lives and slow down to engage in self-care together. What to expect: 👧 In the first hour of the workshop, you will stretch, breathe and move together through simple yoga poses. These exercises will help your child improve their self-confidence, focus, strength and flexibility, as well as nurture their mind-body awareness. 🎼 Fun games and engaging songs along with creative movements and storytelling will encourage everyone to express themselves freely with their voice and body. 💭 Mindfulness practices will support reflection and connection. The yoga session will finish with a guided relaxation to rest and recharge the soul. 📖 After a short snack & toilet break, we'll wander the neighbouring reserve for a short nature walk to collect leaves for our art activity. After the nature walk. you'll be introduced to the nature art printing activity where you will have the chance to experiment with leaf and flower printing on paper and fabric to create items that you can then take home. 💖 Bring your friends or make some new ones in a healthy and inclusive environment where all are welcome. 👧 Session is specifically designed for children aged 6 - 12 with the support of a parent/carer. ⭐ No prior yoga experience is required. All yoga mats and art materials provided - just come ready to move and connect with your child/ren. (Please note that this is not a drop-off session. All children must attend the session with an adult parent/carer.) 📆 When: Friday 2nd October 2026 🕓 Time: 10am - 12:30pm (Session duration is 2.5 hours.) 🎫 Cost: $55 for 1 child (aged 6 - 12) and 1 adult. Each adult can attend with 1-2 children. Additional tickets for a second child/adult can be purchased for $25 each. Session is held indoors in a room with wooden floorboards with AC/heating, as well as toilets and kitchen amenities onsite. 🚗 How to get there: • Via car - Ample free parking available in the onsite car park on Community Drive • Via train - Take the train to Greensborough railway station (Hurstbridge Railway Line) and then walk 18 mins • Via bus - Take bus route 514 and get off at the corner of St Helena Rd & Mountain View Rd, then walk 3 mins • Via bike - Bicycle parking facilities available on site. 💦 What to bring/wear: • Drink bottle of water and light snacks • Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in & clothing that you don't mind getting marked as there will be paint used in the art activity • Warm clothes to put on for the relaxation (10 minutes) - Jumper/Hoodie and Socks. • Appropriate footwear and clothing for the short nature walk in the neighbouring reserve. • Tie up long hair where possible • Yoga mats are provided, however, you're welcome to bring your own mat. 🌞 About Your Facilitator: This workshop is led by Ting from Under the Sky Kids Yoga - a certified Kids Yoga Teacher, experienced bush playgroup facilitator and nature lover.
