Tuesday TEST - 1000 Steps Climb w/DAN | Hard 5km

Tackle a hard 5km and 1,000-step climb with DAN at this energetic in-person event. 🏔️ 7 DAYS OF FUN: THE GLUTE-GRIND ODYSSEY 🍑 Attention, mountain goats and fitness masochists! Join Dan for a vertical battle against gravity at the infamous 1000 Steps. This isn't just a walk; it’s a full-blown psychological experiment to see how many times you can ask "Are we there yet?" before reaching the top. We’re starting at the 1000 Steps Cafe and scaling the heights to One Tree Hill, before a "graceful" descent down the Lyrebird Trail. 🧭 MISSION CONTROL: THE STAIRCASE STRATEGY Meeting Spot 1000 Steps Cafe (Look for the group looking nervous) Assembly Time 6:30 PM (Check-in and last-minute caffeine hits) The Great Ascent 6:50 PM SHARP (Dan waits for no one—gravity is the only thing holding us back) 🗺️ THE "STAIRWAY TO GLORY" ROUTE We aren't just walking; we’re conquering a Victorian icon. • The Launchpad: We meet at 1000 Steps Cafe. This is your last chance for a flat white or a dignified exit before the stairs begin. • The 1000 Steps (Kokoda Track): We head up. There are technically 1,000 of them, but by step 400, your brain will insist there are at least 4 million. • One Tree Hill Picnic Ground: Our victory point! We’ll pause here to gasp for air, take photos of the trees, and pretend we aren't sweating through our shirts. • The Lyrebird Loop: We head back down via the Lyrebird Trail. It’s smoother, gentler, and gives you a 10% chance of actually seeing a Lyrebird (or 100% chance of seeing Dan looking victorious). 🎒 MOUNTAIN SURVIVAL KIT • Footwear: 👟 Actual grippy shoes. The steps can be slippery, and your "city sneakers" will not save you here. Leave the loafers at home. • Hydration: 💧 2L of water. You will be 80% sweat by the time we hit One Tree Hill. • A Jacket: It’s the Dandenongs—it can be a tropical rainforest at the bottom and the Antarctic at the top. • The Attitude: 😄 Stoic. If you're not prepared to laugh through the burn, you're in for a long night! 🛡️ THE SEMI-PROFESSIONAL STUFF • Your Guide: Dan is your fearless leader. He is First Aid Trained, which is handy for when your legs decide to go on strike at step 800. • Parks Victoria Legends: We are licensed operators. $2.40 of your ticket goes directly back to the park—think of it as a "tax" for the privilege of punishing your quads. • Fully Insured: Because we know that "stairs" and "clumsiness" are a dangerous duo. 🏁 THE FINISH We’ll wrap up the night back at the base.
