Introduction to Leadlight

Come and get creative and awaken the light in your home with beautiful art glass! Have you ever wondered how leadlight sun catchers are made? Then this is the perfect workshop to learn the processes involved using the copper foil method. In this beginner friendly, hands-on workshop you will be guided through each step to make your own colourful sun catcher to take home and hang in your favourite sunny window. Included in the workshop is all glass and other materials plus the use of all tools required. Aprons also provided. Wear casual comfortable clothing and for safety reasons please wear closed in shoes. You will learn:- • to cut glass and grind the edges smooth • to wrap each piece of glass in copper foil • to solder all the pieces of your sun catcher together using a soldering iron and lead solder • to clean and polish your completed sun catcher My workshop/studio is a cosy (smaller) space so places available for each workshop are limited to a maximum of 3 people. This also allows for more personal tuition. Attendees must be over 18 years of age. Workshops are mainly held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If these days do not suit please contact me to discuss.
