Newcastle Bun Run 2026

For the love of running. For the love of baked goods! Welcome back to Newcastle Bun Run, 2026 edition! For lovers of running and baked goods - we're running between bakeries and cafes, sampling local treats and savouring the sweetness of social connection A new, revised course, we're touring Newcastle's favourite bakeries on a 12-ish kilometre route. Each stop will have a sample of a crowd favourite, before trotting off to our next stop To be kind and fair to our beloved venues, we are pre-ordering pastries, collecting our boxes and moving aside to ensure their Saturday morning trade is as uninterrupted as possible. Your ticket covers your treat at each stop. We unfortunately cannot cater for any dietary requirements. This year you'll have to option to collect your baked good either at the stop, or at the finish line to enjoy later. Runners of all abilities are welcome - it's not a race, there are no prizes for coming first. We will upload a Strava route for you all to follow as well. Opposite Waratah Station Meeting time 6:30am for a 7:00 am run start Approximate Distance: 12km total Longest distance between stops: 4.0km Ticket: $50 Per Person In purchasing a ticket for the Newcastle Bun Run (hereafter the Event), the participant, 1. Confirms they are physically fit and capable of participating in the Event and has not been advised by a medical professional to not participate in the Event, 2. Acknowledges and accepts they participate in the Event at their own risk, with the Event involving activities such as running, jogging and walking and understands there are inherent dangers associated with these activities including as a result of over exertion, dehydration, accidents with other participants or bystanders or the course, and the weather (amongst other things), 3. Acknowledges and accepts that they may suffer serious personal injury and / or death as a result of their participation in the Event, and freely and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participating in the Event, 4. Confirms they will abide by the directions of the Event organisers, 5. Will indemnify and keep indemnified the Event organisers against all costs, loss, and damages however caused arising from or in relation to their participation in the Event to the fullest extent permitted by the law, 6. To the fullest extent of the law, releases and excludes the Event organisers from any liability arising from loss or damage suffered in connection with the Event, 7. Agrees that the indemnity, release and exclusion of liability in the above paragraphs may be pleaded as a complete bar to any claim, notice, demand, action, proceeding, litigation or judgement which has or maybe brought or made or recovered from the Event organiser. 8. Acknowledges that any safety precautions taken by the Event organisers are a service to them and other participants and are not a guarantee of safety, 9. Accepts and agrees this is a risk warning under the Civil Liability Act 2020 NSW).
