Permaculture Hunter Volunteer - Living Smart Festival

Permaculture Hunter will have a stall at the Living Smart Festival, connecting with the community and sharing simple, practical ideas for growing food, designing resilient gardens and creating more sustainable lives, homes and communities. We’re looking for friendly volunteers to help manning the Permaculture Hunter stall, chat with festival visitors and share what you love about permaculture. No previous volunteering experience is needed just be a Permaculture Hunter Member. Volunteer shifts Sunday | Living Smart Festival 6:30am – 9:00am Set-up shift – help us get the stall ready for the festival. 9:00am onwards Two-hour volunteer shifts throughout the day. When you register, please select the shift that suits you best and book a ticket. We'd love to have at least four volunteers at the stall during each shift so you can chat with visitors. only two hours so you can enjoy the festival too. Have a permaculture design for your block? Bring it along! If you've completed a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) or have a permaculture design for your own home, garden or block, we'd love you to bring a copy to share at the stall. Your design could help spark conversations with people who are thinking about how to make their own property more productive, sustainable and resilient. It doesn't need to be perfect – we're interested in the ideas, processes and lessons you've learned along the way. What will you be doing? Volunteers may help with: • Welcoming people to the Permaculture Hunter stall • Talking with visitors about permaculture and sustainable living • Sharing information about Permaculture Hunter's monthly workshops • Encouraging people to get involved with the local permaculture community • Displaying and discussing your own permaculture design, if you have one • Helping keep the stall tidy and welcoming • Supporting the Permaculture Hunter team throughout the day About Permaculture Hunter Permaculture Hunter is a welcoming community of people interested in growing food, caring for the earth and learning practical skills together. We meet regularly for workshops, talks, hands-on activities and community gatherings. Our events explore permaculture principles and practical ways to create more resilient lives and gardens, homes and communities – whether you're growing food on a large property, in a suburban backyard or on a balcony. We're passionate about sharing knowledge, learning from one another and making permaculture accessible to everyone. Come along, lend a hand and meet your local permaculture community!
