Books for Bumps - Preview Workshop

Books for Bumps is a new small-group antenatal workshop designed to help expectant mothers begin connecting with their baby before birth through books, songs and their own familiar voice. During this relaxed three-hour morning, you’ll explore practical, reassuring and evidence-informed ways to bring talking, singing and reading into everyday life - helping you get to know your baby before birth and feel more confident about these simple interactions once your baby arrives. Led by Fiona, drawing on her background in Speech Pathology, Listening and Spoken Language, parent coaching and antenatal education, the workshop offers a warm, guided space to explore simple ideas you can begin using during pregnancy and continue after your baby arrives. About this complimentary preview This first session is being offered as a complimentary preview ahead of the first paid Books for Bumps workshops. Places are limited to just four expectant mothers, creating a small and supportive group. As part of the preview, you’ll be invited to complete a short questionnaire before and after the workshop and share some brief feedback about your experience. This will help refine the content, activities and overall workshop experience before the first paid sessions. You may also be invited to take part in a short follow-up afterwards to share how you’ve used any of the ideas at home. Any participation in photos, video or promotional material will be separate and entirely optional. Advance registration is essential. Because places are very limited, if you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking as soon as possible so your place can be offered to someone on the waitlist. Please note: Books for Bumps provides general, non-clinical parent education. It complements rather than replaces antenatal, maternity or healthcare services and does not provide individual medical, developmental, speech pathology or therapeutic advice.
