City of Armadale Plenary 2026: Why Protection Is Better Than Restoration For Our Jarrah Forest

The City of Armadale presents: Why Protection Is Better Than Restoration For Our Jarrah Forest Join us for an informative plenary session with guest speaker Kingsley Dixon to find out why our jarrah forests are special, and why they cannot be replaced, regrown or replicated elsewhere. Protection today of the last of fragments of the unique biodiversity of the southwest of Western Australia is not an option, it is an imperative if we are to avert an extinction cascade of plants and animals. Join us for tea, coffee and light nibbles from 5.30 pm. Find a chair and settle in before we open at 6.00 pm. City of Armadale Plenary Sessions Each year the City of Armadale hosts plenary sessions on behalf of the Bushcare Environmental Working Group (BEWG) and the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group (AGLG) covering a range of environmental topics. During the plenary session the community can hear from various experts who are informative and passionate presenters on topics of interest, including wildlife conservation and rehabilitation.
