Dance Meditation Ritual with Patricia Roux Moving Into Presence Dance Meditation Ritual brings together the stillness of sitting, the awareness of walking and the freedom of dancing. A guided journey through these three practices, supported by a carefully curated musical journey, inviting you to deepen your presence and explore the wisdom of your moving body. Part meditative sanctuary, part free-flowing sweaty dance inquiry, this practice offers space to explore the richness of being present. Rooted in the Open Floor conscious dance practice, we'll journey between seated meditation, mindful walking and freeform dance, each offering a different way to connect with ourselves and what is unfolding in the moment. A thoughtfully curated soundscape will accompany the journey, from quiet reflection to more expressive and energetic movement. There's no particular destination or right way to move — simply an invitation to listen, explore and follow your own experience. Open to everyone. No previous experience needed, just a little curiosity and a willingness to move. Date: Sunday 13th December 3:30pm-5pm (doors shut at 3:40pm no entry after then) Venue: North Fremantle Community Hall, 2 Thompson Rd, North Fremantle WA 6159 Cost: $25 + booking fee Please bring a water bottle, a cushion for the sitting meditation part, turn off phones and remove shoes before entering the dance floor. Alcohol free, drug free and smoke free event. Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. No mobile phones, no photography, no Shazam, be present in the space, as others will with you. This event is an adult safe zone and not suitable for kids, (16+) This is your time to process, recoup and resource the body, heart and mind so you can turn up for your loved ones with a full cup. Cancellation Policy - Refund is available up to 24hr before the event after which there are no refunds, however you may transfer you spot to another person. About the facilitator: Patricia is a mother, dancer, yoga and meditation teacher who has been practising mindful movement and conscious dance for over 15 years. Together with her husband, Theva Indrasenan, they run Dancing Dhevas, offering conscious dance classes, workshops, and retreats in Western Australia and Bali. A certified Open Floor teacher, Patricia brings a unique and grounded approach shaped by the exploration of diverse somatic modalities and a deep love for embodied mindfulness. Her classes offer space to arrive fully in the body, move freely, and listen to what’s alive within. About Open Floor: Open Floor is a resource-based movement practice.
