Eight original works. One new musical journey. 40 years playing other people’s music. Now it’s time to make my own. I’m still pinching myself! My first-ever fundraiser for my own solo creative project raised $6,060 from 37 generous supporters on AUS ART DAY recently. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported me to take this creative leap. Your support means the world. Now it’s time to get the music out of my head and into the world! This November, following a week of focused creative development in my own studio, I’m planning my first mini-tour of Cello Dreaming before I record my debut solo album of eight original Australian works for cello and looping, inspired by the places and soundscapes of the Sunshine Coast, on Kabi Kabi Country. I’d love you to join me for one of these intimate listening parties to experience the music while it’s still fresh, evolving and finding its shape ahead of professional recording in February 2027. This is an invitation into my creative process, a chance to listen closely, discover how I build layers of sound, ask questions and share in the excitement of making something new.
