Full description from organizer

Already working in manufacturing? Convert your experience into a nationally recognised qualification through our facilitated RPL program. Already working in manufacturing but don’t hold a formal qualification? The Sunshine Coast Queensland Manufacturing Hub is launching a Manufacturing Skills - Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Program in partnership with InTech Institute of Technology RTO: 30100, to support experienced manufacturing workers to convert their industry skills into a nationally recognised qualification. Through a facilitated Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, participants will have their existing skills and workplace experience assessed against nationally recognised qualifications without repeating training they already know. This program may support participants to achieve qualifications such as: • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade • Certificate IV in Engineering The program will be delivered in partnership with a nationally recognised and skills assured Registered Training Organisation and includes targeted support from the Sunshine Coast-based Queensland Manufacturing Hub - principal Capability Development Officer to help participants understand the RPL process, prepare evidence of their work experience, and complete any targeted gap training where required. Who this program is designed for: • Manufacturing workers—trades assistants, machine operators, welders, fabricators and technicians—currently working in industry without formal qualifications who are looking to formalise their skills and gain a nationally recognised engineering qualification. • Workers interested in career progression within the manufacturing industry About the Expression of Interest (EOI) Expressions of Interest are now open for eligible manufacturing workers interested in participating in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Program. EOIs are open and ongoing to manufacturing workers and employers across the following LGA regions: • Sunshine Coast • Noosa • Gympie • Moreton Bay Expressions of Interest will be assessed against defined eligibility criteria including relevant industry experience, role alignment to the qualification pathway, employer endorsement, and evidence readiness for RPL assessment. Please note there is a significant amount of information required for the Expression of Interest form. We appreciate your interest and commitment in this program. Notification of Outcome: Applicants will be notified timely of the outcome of their EOI as applications are received in and assessed. A registered Expression of Interest does not guarantee a place in the program. Those that are eligible will be connected with the RTO: InTech Institute of Technology to review and plan next steps to commence the RPL program. Next Steps Include: ✅ How Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) works ✅ Whether your manufacturing experience qualifies you for the qualification ✅ What evidence is required to support the RPL process in achieving units of competency ✅ How the Sunshine Coast-based Queensland Manufacturing Hub will support participants throughout the program ✅ The program timeline, expectations, funding, gap fee and any other relvant information to support completion of the qualification Cost: The RPL program may attract a total student/ employer contribution of $500, depending on eligibility for the Career Boost General Training Pathway funded training. Any remaining fee's that do not attract this funding will be met by the Sunshine Coast Queensland Manufacturing Hub. Places in the program are limited. About the Program This initiative supports the Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Strategy 2025–30, strengthening workforce capability and recognising the skills of experienced workers across the region. The Sunshine Coast-based Queensland Manufacturing Hub in partnership with InTech will coordinate the program, working with industry to ensure qualifications align with the skills needs of local manufacturing businesses.
