Food Forest Community Planting Day

Free Event - Registration Required Be part of something that will grow for generations. Join us for a special community Food Forest planting day as we take the next exciting step in the evolution of Alsahwa Estate. Together, we'll plant more than 300 trees, shrubs and companion plants, helping to create a thriving regenerative Food Forest that will nourish people, wildlife and the land for years to come. And you’ll be able to taste what you’ve planted at ēthos every time we harvest. The morning begins with a guided farm tour, where you'll discover the story of Alsahwa Estate and learn how we've transformed open land into productive gardens using regenerative farming practices. You'll then roll up your sleeves alongside our team to help establish the next chapter of our journey - a diverse Food Forest designed to work with nature. Throughout the experience you'll learn: 🌱 What a Food Forest is and how it mimics a natural ecosystem. 🌿 The principles of regenerative farming and healthy soil. 🐝 The importance of biodiversity, pollinators and companion planting. 🌳 How different plants work together to create a resilient, self-sustaining ecosystem. Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply curious about sustainable living, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, meet like-minded people and leave a lasting legacy at Alsahwa Estate. Following the planting, everyone is invited to enjoy a complimentary community BBQ as a thank you for helping bring our Food Forest to life. 📅 Saturday 24 October 2026 ⏰ 8:30am - 11:30am 📍 Alsahwa Estate, Palmwoods Free Community Event - Registration Required Your registration includes: • Guided farm tour • Food Forest planting experience • Educational talk on regenerative farming and Food Forests • Complimentary BBQ lunch and refreshments What to bring: • Closed-in shoes • Hat and sunscreen • Water bottle • Gardening gloves (please bring your own if possible - some gloves will be available) • Comfortable clothing suitable for gardening Please note: This is an outdoor event. While our resident bees are generally very calm, there are active beehives on the property. If you have a bee allergy, please let us know prior to attending.
