Great North Walk: Hornby to Hornsby Heights 🗓 18 October 2026📍 Meet-Up: Hornsby Station 🚆 Getting ThereCommute: You can take the CCN Newcastle Interchange via Strathfield Train at Central, Platform 4 at 8:18am and get off at Hornsby at 8:55am. 🚗 DrivingYou can park at Hornsby Station but you will have to arrange transport going back to your car (usually just a bus ride). 🥾 Hike Overview Explore a beautiful section of the Great North Walk, taking us from Hornsby deep into the bushland of Berowra Valley National Park. We’ll follow scenic waterways including Berowra Creek, surrounded by towering eucalypts, sandstone gullies and sweeping valley views. Expect varied and challenging terrain with dirt tracks, rocky creek crossings, steep climbs and rugged rock steps including sections with metal hand and foot grips.
