Herbal Garden - grow herbs to make skincare products and natural remedies: For millennia herbs were the only medicine available to mankind and they still are of great value. If you want to avoid artificial additives present in man-made pharmaceuticals, you can grow medicinal herbs to make herbal treatments for common ailments. Many plants in our garden, including weeds, contain medicinal substances. Learn how to grow, harvest and process them for the highest concentration of active compounds. In this two hour workshop you will be joined by Margaret Mossakowska of Moss House, an experienced sustainability educator, who will talk about growing healing herbs and how to make your own medicinal preparations.
