HOLIDAY MUSIC CAMP

Our Holiday Music Camp offers a fun and engaging mix of music learning, creativity, and exploration during the school holidays. Students will develop their musical skills through technical practice, sight-reading games, rhythm and aural activities, group singing, and live music appreciation. They will also have the opportunity to try different instruments, including violin, cello, recorder, drum set, and ukulele. With a balance of structured learning and creative activities, the camp provides an enjoyable environment where children can learn, make friends, and stay inspired through music. TIME Term 3 2026 dates (Tue-Fri): 1st week: 22, 23, 24, 25 Sept 2nd week: 29, 30 Sept, 1, 2 Oct 3rd week: 6, 7, 8, 9 Oct​​ 9 am - 5 pm (teaching from 10 am- 4 pm) ACTIVITIES Individual instrument practice Sightreading competition Duet playing Aural exercises/games Live music appreciation Music general knowledge Trying different instruments WHO IS FOR Suitable for Children Ages 5-8 Learning a classical instrument WHAT TO EXPECT: • Learn effective practice techniques to make the most of your time at the piano and get faster results • Gain valuable performance experience – have the opportunity to perform for our teaching staff and the other students in workshops and mini-concert settings • Study with some of Sydney’s best teachers – our staff are highly qualified, in-demand pianists who are devoted to excellent results for their students. We don’t hire junior teachers or have separate staff for different levels – you’ll be studying with a professional. • Improve your sight reading (which is often ignored in learning piano) in a fun environment. This can dramatically increase your speed in learning new music, too. • Refine your aural (listening) skills – listening skills are essential for great playing, and are also a component of the piano examination system. • Develop your music appreciation skills – learn about music history, musical styles, composers and more • Make friends!
