CPD Type 2 training: Lifecycle of a tenancy and legislative requirements

Property managers and agents are invited to the RTA’s CPD training session in Townsville on Wednesday 18 November. RTA CPD Type 2 training session The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) offers continuing professional development (CPD) Type 2 training sessions that property managers and agents can attend to meet their mandatory CPD requirements. Lifecycle of a tenancy and legislative requirements – CPD Type 2 session (OFT CODE: QLD CPD 20250170) This session helps property managers and agents understand the lifecycle of a tenancy, including key legislative requirements and interaction points with tenants. By attending this training, you will gain a practical understanding of the application of relevant tenancy laws and specific sections of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 to your daily business practices. The 2.5 hour session will cover: • key sections of legislation that apply at the start, during and end of a tenancy • understanding the terms of an agreement • repairs and maintenance obligations • breaches and resolution processes • ending a tenancy due to domestic and family violence • processes for when a rental property is for sale • body corporate by-laws and where BCCM and RTRA legislation overlaps • the role of compliance and enforcement within the RTA, including examples of common offences. You will have the opportunity to participate in discussions within the group and ask our expert team questions about Queensland tenancy law.
