Bushland Birds - BioBlitz@Croom 2026

Join in a guided walk through Croom with experts from Illawarra Birders and DCCEEW as we look for robins, pardalotes and Tawny Frogmouths. Interested to learn more about local birds? Or are you a bird enthusiast that can help to identify birds as we aim to record as many bird species as we can? Come and join bird enthusiasts from Illawarra Birders, ecologists and Shellharbour City Council’s Environment team as we take a guided walk in this special patch of bushland in Croom Reserve known as Illawarra Lowlands Grassy Woodland. Please book 1 ticket for EACH person attending this session. This event is designed for adults and families with children 8yrs+. This activity is part of the 2026 BioBlitz@Croom, where we are trying to record as many plants, animals and fungi as we can on November 6 and 7. Bring your sharpest bird spotting skills as we aim to identify as many birds as we can and upload records into the citizen science app, iNatuarlist.
