Full description from organizer

Reclamation Women's Circle is a community of women + femmes who are on a journey of healing, decolonizing + reconnecting to our full selves. Reclamation Women's Circle Come join us for a community gathering at Oldhand Coffee in Langley - in the upstairs event space. The Reclamation Women's Circle is a safe space for women + femmes to come together, share stories, and support each other. We are building a matriarchy and we would love for you to join us. THE INVITATION: Gathering in community circles is an ancient practice spanning across cultures. Something profound happens when we share our stories in trusted, brave spaces that allow us to learn, grow, heal, and reclaim our truest selves. At each circle, we will enjoy a light meal together, participate in a sharing circle, and dig deeper into an embodiment practice to connect us back to ourselves, each other, and the earth. Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary needs that we should consider when planning the menu. Every month we explore a topic relating to embodiment, justice, sexuality, and relationships. This is the last circle for 2026. Here's what you need to know: Dress Code: Wear the outfit in your closet that you never get to wear The plan: We will be reflecting on the year of 2026, honouring what has happened and closing the chapter in a good way. Together we will co-create a grief altar. If you have anything you want to contribute, please bring the items with you to add to the altar. This can represent personal grief or collective grief. Items will be returned to you afterwards or can be left to be disposed of respectfully. There will also be an opportunity to burn away the past and release with a fire ceremony in the cauldron. Then we will close the evening with a celebration for all the good that was 2026! Come with curiosity. Come connect, learn, grow, and heal. **Please bring a small jar or vessel with you. There will be an opportunity to take home a custom salt blend that we will make together. ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR: Tara Teng (she/her) is an Embodiment Coach who works in the intersections of spirituality and sexuality. She helps people find their way back to their bodies, overcome shame, heal trauma and dismantle purity culture in a way that is in alignment with their values and beliefs so that they can build a healthy, sexual ethic and thrive in freedom and wholeness. Aside from her 1:1 coaching, Tara hosts women’s circles, workshops, online classes and retreats on the topics of embodiment, justice, sexuality, and relationships. Her debut book, “Your Body is a Revolution: Healing Our Relationships with Our Bodies, Each Other and the Earth” was published June 2023 from Broadleaf Books and Dundurn Press and is available in print, e-book and audiobook everywhere books are sold.
