Arts Of Mindfulness

About this event

Experience mindfulness practices & art-making using contemplative movement, drawing, breath/soft voicings and music-making in nature. Each session will offer a different experience with mindfulness practices and art-making using the arts of contemplative movement, drawing, breath and soft voicings, and participatory music-making with meditation instruments. Elements of nature will become partner and inspiration in these arts and well-being practices. Guided by Cynthia Pegado, Artpark Bridges director and facilitator in somatic arts, mindfulness, well-being and expressive arts. Arts of Mindfulness are appropriate for ages 12 - adult. (this is not a drop-off program so children must be accompanied by an adult) Held rain or shine. In the event of bad weather, program will be relocated under shelter. Every session takes place at accessible locations close to parking and restrooms. Program is funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, administered by Arts Services Inc.
