Learn How to Make Dovetails

The bulk of the course will be spent on learning a beginner-friendly way to cut dovetails by hand using guides and a knife wall technique. Participants will also be introduced to the basics of laying out your dovetails, how to hold and use your hand saws for accurate sawing as well as your chisels. Please dress appropriately for working in a woodshop: closed-toe shoes, hair tied in the back, and no loose clothing. NOTES: a) Workshops are transferable to another person and only refundable if we have people on the waiting list who can take your spot. If a non-member registers at the member rate, we will follow up to collect the price difference plus a $15 administrative fee. c) If you are registering for a young person, please note that children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket for the same workshop.
