Power Kids: Interspecies Summit

We invite kids ages 7-12 and their families for an exciting creative Power Kids workshop, Interspecies Summit! Taking inspiration from Zadie Xa’s Moonlit Confessions Across Deep Sea Echoes: Your Ancestors Are Whales, and Earth Remembers Everything, participants will gather for an interspecies summit. Through sculpture, we will invent hybrid creatures that combine human, animal, and imaginary forms. What might the creatures living around the Harbourfront need to thrive? What would they tell us about their habitat? Together we will imagine new ways humans and other species might live alongside one another and care for the waterfront. Plan Your Visit: • For ages 7–12 (younger or older siblings welcome) • Wear comfortable, art-friendly clothing • Parents or guardians must stay with their child • Bring a bag or container to take creations home • Registration opens 5 weeks before the event
