A Shibari Workshop for Partners, Lovers & Friends With Guest Instructor Adrian & Kink Mentor Luna Rose Ticket for Two: $80 Ticket for Three: $111 DETAILS: This interactive workshop invites you to explore rope as a playful tool for deepening emotional connection with your play partner. Instead of more involved shibari techniques/harnesses, this workshop will focus on two simple, versatile ties that serve as a foundation for exploration. From there, we'll dive into different axis or variations you can use to tune your play. Together, we’ll explore how to create different emotional atmospheres and weave in playful elements to shape the flavour of connection you desire to cultivate. Workshop Flow: 🪢 Foundations of Shibari history, Consent + Rope Safety 🪢 Ritual + Scene Building Basics 🪢 Lark’s Head Single Column Tie + Double Half-Hitch Knot 🪢 Elements for Emotional Connection: Pacing, Physical Closeness, Constriction, Power Dynamics 🪢 Cultivating Various Emotional Spaces in Rope Play No previous rope or kink experience needed! ATTENDEES: This class is specifically designed for pairs.* We highly recommend that you only sign up if you have a friend, lover or partner to attend with, as the workshop is focused on connection between play partners (select the "Ticket for Two" option) Triads are welcome too (select the "Ticket for Three" option) *If you strongly desire to attend solo, please reach out via email to [email protected] ROPE: You are welcome to bring your own rope! We will have extra rope for those who do not have their own. Recommended: 1 x 30 ft length + (optional) 1 x 15 ft length Rope should be intended for tying humans and preferably a natural fibre (hemp, jute, cotton, silk, etc). No yellow poly rope from the hardware store please. DISCLAIMER: This is a platonic, non-sexual event. All participants are required to be clothed during the workshop. Adrian (they/them) • Guest Instructor/Shibari Rigger Adrian is a weird little guy who loves playing in expansive emotional spaces, exploring discomfort, intense sensory experiences, and leans heavily on type 2 fun. They have been fussing around with rope for nearly a decade and have been heavily focused on rigging for floor and suspension in the past four years. Adrian uses rope as a tool for co-creating art, regulation, emotional, and erotic play. They also mess around with circus/physical performance art, and make cool leather stuff! Luna Rose (she/her) • Co-Facilitator/Kink Mentor Luna Rose is a kink mentor and ritual artist who weaves together sensual embodiment, ceremony and visual art, using rope and plants as primary mediums to connect deeper into pleasure and self-exploration. Through bottoming, topping and self-tying, she has been cultivating her relationship with ropes over the past three years. Luna offers private Shibari session, rope rituals and ceremonial performances. Adrian and Luna have been tying together as platonic play partners for nearly three years, and are excited to share some of their favourite connective elements of rope play with you!
