Bi+ Social Group

About this event

We meet every 4th Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm! The Bi+ Social Group discussion group is an opportunity for people who experience multi-gender attraction to talk about different topics related to the bisexual+ experience. The meetings start with the facilitators going over comfort rules and discussion guidelines, followed by everyone introducing their names/pseudonyms and pronouns. The group chooses one or two topics to focus on for the meeting, and those who wish to participate in the discussion take turns speaking in a conversational manner. Some participants choose to just listen rather than partake in the conversation. There is a break about half-way through the evening, followed by more discussion. At the end of each meeting, everyone around the table shares something that was meaningful or interesting to them from the conversation. The group meets on the 4th Thursday of every month from 6:30 - 8:30 PM, on-site at Rainbow Resource Centre (545 Broadway). The Bi+ Social Group also hosts seasonal group events. There will be 1 group event in the spring, summer, fall, and winter. Additionally, we will walk in the Pride parade in early June. Due to severe allergies in the group, we ask folks to be mindful of any scents (e.g. lotion, cologne, perfume, etc.) The Bi+ Social Group is currently facilitated by volunteers who also are the directors/facilitators of the Winnipeg Bi+ Network!
