MDSS Active Youth Program — 2026-2027 Registration We're so excited to open registration for another season of the MDSS Active Youth Program! 🏃💛 About the Program The MDSS Active Youth Program is a dynamic, inclusive program designed to help youth with Down syndrome discover the joy of movement, build lasting friendships, and grow in confidence both on and off the field. Open to youth with Down syndrome and their siblings between the ages of 9 and 17, participants will: • Build physical literacy and learn the fundamentals of movement • Develop confidence in sport, recreation, and everyday life • Form meaningful friendships with peers in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment We welcome participants of all abilities and are committed to creating a space where every young person feels celebrated and empowered. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program and the Winnipeg Foundation. While your child is active and engaged, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with other MDSS families and build your own community of support. 2026-2027 Program Dates All sessions run on Friday evenings, 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
