An Indian–Bangladeshi couple, a flavour-packed feast, and a little filmy magic. Ours comes with chai, a table full of food, and an invitation: come hungry, pull up a chair, and stay for the adda. Welcome to Haveli Adda, a supper club hosted by an Indian–Bangladeshi couple in Berlin. We’re bringing our two backgrounds to one table, with a menu that travels between familiar favourites, comforting flavours, and dishes we’re excited to share. Think of the evening as a little film of its own: chai sets the scene, the starters make their entrance, the mains bring the drama, and dessert gets the happily-ever-after. The real stars, though? The people around the table. What’s “adda”? To us, adda is the conversation that keeps going long after the plates are cleared. It’s stories, laughter, friendly debates, and that lovely moment when “just one more cup” becomes another hour together. You don’t need to know anyone, speak our languages, or recognise a single film reference. Come solo, bring a date, or gather a few friends—there’s a place for you in this story. The evening’s cast: our menu 🍽️ The menu below is based on our supper-club menu card. • Opening scene — Masala Chai Lightly brewed milky tea with warming whole spices. A warm welcome before the feast begins. • The supporting stars — Dim Chop Crisp spiced egg chop with green and tamarind chutney. • The main characters — Masala Dosa with Potato Bhaji & Morog Polao & Tuna Kebab A crisp rice-and-lentil crepe filled with spiced potato bhaji, alongside fragrant rice served with a chicken leg on banana leaf. • The scene-stealers — Achar, Mixed Salad & Mixed Borhani A sharp pickle, a fresh salad, and a savoury spiced yogurt drink to accompany the meal. • The sweet finale — Rasgolla with mango ice-cream Nimki, rasgolla, and a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles.
