Full description from organizer

Welcome Chemsex is part of many GBTQ men's lives in Berlin. But it can be hard and scary to talk about it openly without judgment. This weekly group offers a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore your relationship with substances, sex, and the environments connected to them, with honesty, peer support, and practical tools, not shame. You don't need a diagnosis, to identify as "addicted," or to commit to sobriety to be here. If you’re curious or ambivalent, that’s reason enough to start the conversation. Who is this for? Adult gay, bisexual, trans, and other men who have sex with men and use substances in sexual contexts, who feel concerned, curious, or ambivalent about their patterns, including those who: Find it hard to stop when they intend to, or have long sessions (24+ hours). Cross their own boundaries and limits, or notice effects on health, work, relationships, finances, or wellbeing. Want change without giving up pleasure, intimacy, or community. We welcome diversity in age, background, HIV status, relationship style, migration experience, and stage of change. This is not a space that requires you to leave queer or sex-positive communities; it's about finding what truly works for you. Our approach Harm-reduction and recovery-oriented, grounded in autonomy and accountability without shame. We don't follow a 12-step model, and we don't prescribe one outcome. Valid goals are understanding yourself and your patterns better, letting go of shame and judgment, moderation and managed use, pauses, and sobriety. The group meetings are free to attend. However, any voluntary donations to contribute to the cost of the room rental will be highly appreciated, but not mandatory. Group agreements Confidentiality · self-responsibility · no unsolicited advice · no judgment · respect · consent · sober participation · no dealing or arranging sexual encounters through the group. Important to know before joining This is a coaching-based peer support group. This is not medical care, psychotherapy, addiction treatment, detoxification, or emergency support, and does not replace professional diagnosis or treatment. If you need medical, psychiatric, or crisis support, please seek appropriate professional or emergency care. For safety, anyone who is intoxicated, psychotic, suicidal, medically unwell, or otherwise unable to participate safely will not be able to join a session. Participants are asked to arrive sober and stable, and to commit to confidentiality and respect for the co-facilitators and fellow participants. Not sure if it's for you? You don't need to know exactly what you want to change or tell your whole story right away. Feeling uncertain is welcome here. If any of this feels familiar, we'd love to have you. Reach out for a confidential introductory conversation first if you need more clarity. Facilitators Kevin Martinez helps people overcome challenges, navigate change, and become more resilient. He’s a Berlin-based Coach, Workshop Facilitator, and certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). He’s also the CEO and Founder of Resilient Souls Global Ltd. Kevin loves to support, empower, and inspire people. His areas of expertise include: identity and behavior change, mental fitness, mental health, addiction recovery, confidence, meditation, mindfulness, self-awareness, loneliness, and shame. Marko Javorsek is a transformational and schema coach. He works with people who are going through change, feeling stuck, or noticing that they keep falling into the same patterns in their relationships, work, or personal lives. His approach combines transformational coaching — looking at where you are, where you want to go, and how to move forward, with schema coaching — which goes a little deeper into understanding the unmet needs, patterns, and emotional responses that may be getting in the way. Alongside individual coaching, Marko also facilitates workshops and support groups and offers Reiki treatments. He likes to draw on mindfulness and somatic approaches to strengthen the mind–body connection, develop greater awareness of what we’re feeling, and learn to listen more closely to our own intuition.
