Full description from organizer

🌐 Language: English 💶 Event free of charge 🎟️ Hosted by: David Brugman | Strategic Advisor | Climate Change & Adaptive Design, & Elisa Seith | Director, Climate Risk & Financial Services | Jupiter Intelligence We can’t control how the climate will change. But we can change how we design for it. Climate change is challenging the assumptions behind the systems we depend on. Buildings, infrastructure, water systems, cities and businesses were designed around particular environmental conditions. As those conditions change, we need to rethink not only how we assess climate risk, but how we design for it. This breakfast panel brings together perspectives from climate intelligence, hydrogeology, engineering, insurance and disaster-response technology. We’ll explore how climate knowledge can become a design input: helping us anticipate hazards, reduce impacts and create systems that are more robust, responsive and adaptable. What you’ll explore How climate intelligence can move from risk assessment to design decisions What adaptive design looks like in water, infrastructure, buildings and emergency response How different disciplines can work together to create more resilient systems What is already possible, and what needs to change to put adaptive solutions into practice The question we’ll explore:What would we design differently if we treated a changing climate not simply as a risk to manage, but as a design constraint? Panelist David Brugman (moderator) — Strategic Advisor, Climate Change & Adaptive Design Elisa Seith — Director, Climate Risk & Financial Services, Jupiter Intelligence Prof. Dr. Thomas Baumann — Chair of Hydrogeology, TUM School of Engineering and Design Dr. Lena Fuldauer — Head of Resilience & Business Development, Allianz Risk Consulting Philippe Telle — CEO & Co-Founder, CAURUS Technologies
