Irish Presidency Céilí

Celebrate Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union with us! In honour of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Consulate General of Ireland in Munich is delighted to welcome you to an Irish céilí on Saturday 7 November 2026! 🇪🇺 We are thrilled to welcome back the 2023 All Ireland Senior Céilí Band Champions, the Piper's Cross Céilí Band to Munich for what is sure to be another wonderful celebration of Irish music and dance following last year's triumphant event. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, céilí is all about fun, connection, and keeping the tradition alive. No partner or experience needed – just bring your energy and your dancing shoes! Our céilí caller (dance teacher), Ms Mary Sweeney, will be leading us every step of the way. If you're curious as to what a céilí looks like, you can take a look at last year's event here. We know it will be chilly outside, but we recommend layering up as you're sure to work up a sweat on the dancefloor. Please register you and any interested friends/family via Eventbrite - there will be security present on the evening checking signups. This event is suitable for all ages and abilities, so whether you're 8 or 80 get ready for an evening of ceol, craic agus damhsa. 🎻 Doors open from 7pm. Band on stage from 7.30pm.
