How to shape and challenge your own visual language through a dialogue between analogue and digital media. Exploring how mixing different media and disciplines can help create a personal visual expression. The Art of Mixing Things Up “ I’m inspired by artists who move between disciplines and aren’t afraid to break rules. I like developing my own materials and techniques, finding shortcuts, or manipulating programs in weird ways to make them do what I want. I actually believe it’s a quality to be a noob sometimes.” Speaker – Laura Rathschau Laura Rathschau is a multidisciplinary designer and artist trained in textile design at the Royal Danish Academy. She has also toured internationally as a bass player with bands like Junior Senior. Her work spans scenography, costume, art direction, animation and audiovisual installations for clients including Sónar, Teater Sort/Hvid, Cph Fashion Week, Kwamie Liv and Pernille Rosendahl. She moves freely between disciplines, mixing analogue and digital media to challenge her own visual language.
