Discover Fungi - College Lake, Saturday 17 October

Explore the reserve looking for fungi on this entry level walk Did you know there is over 15,000 known species of fungi found in the UK? And that fungi are more closely related to animals than plants? Join us to discover which fascinating fungi can be found at College Lake. This exploratory walk is designed as a beginner’s intro to fungi and will involve gentle walking around the reserve with some stops along the way. We will be exploring off the main path so please come Please be aware: • Please arrive on time at the Visitor Centre where we will start our walk. The session lasts 2hrs and involves gentle walking around the site with stopping points along the way. • This activity takes place outdoors and we recommend appropriate clothing for all weathers. Please read: • If you or a member of your household are feeling unwell on the day of the event, please do not attend. • Booking can either be done via website or if on the day – in person (providing there is space) • If you can no longer make it, please inform us as we're happy to transfer your tickets to a friend or open up new spaces.
