September Full moon Earth Circle

About this event

Full moon women's circle Women's circle's have been held as far back as we know and can see. There is no specialist knowledge, beliefs or experience needed to be part of a women's circle. There is no hierarchy or expectation placed on anyone attending. The magic of a women's circle is that is is woven together like a basket, between everyone there. much of the wisdom comes from sharing life experiences, explorations and being witnessed / witnessing. It helps us feel real and rooted in to where we are. This is not about floaty spirituality or witches casting spells. It's primordial remembering of the simplicity of gathering with the moon, having some structure and some flow. You change and are changed just by being present. You are not expected to be celebratory nor needing help, you are welcomed as you are. As we weave, some women are in the ups and some in the downs. In the practice of acceptance we learn how to hold ourselves and make space for each other, take up space ourselves and not apologise. Earth circles are rooted in the seasons of womanhood, blood cycles and the seasons in nature. We orientate around the seasons, the gods, goddesses and stories our ancestors have created, passed along and used to help navigate. We are connected to the land we live and walk upon, in the UK, in East Anglia, the chalk stream, springs, wells, rivers, the hills and flats, the sand, clay and gravel. We orientate with trees, plants, and animals. In a sense reconnecting to the Earth and building a strong relation to the moon, the stars and the planet we live on. In our own micro evironments of life we are supported by these larger fractal cycles. Women come for years, months or a moon. There is no fixing, no berating, here you are welcome. All backgrounds, all women. During circle we ground in a let go of our days, sink in to our circle and space with breathing, movement or meditation, we always have a sharing circle where you are free to speak and be heard (you do not have to share), we normally have an offering of a priestess / land connection pratice using herbs, our bodies or an element (for example fire). Often at the full moon we release what no longer serves us, through a simple land connection ritual together using earth, air, fire or water. Sometimes we journey with a drum or our voices. We meet on an ARK a piece of land curated to belong to nature which has been put to wild meadow, in Clifton.
