Space to slow down and simply listen Event Description An Immersive Sound Spa Experience with Tessa Ann This Sound Spa Experience is held within the spacious studio at Ards Yoga & Wellness Rooms in Newtownards, guided by Tessa Ann. Created using singing bowls, gongs, voice and subtle percussion, the experience offers an opportunity to step away from the pace of everyday life, settle comfortably and spend time immersed in sound. With some spoken guidance at the beginning, the emphasis is on direct experience through sound, listening and moments of stillness. Participants are invited to engage in their own way, allowing the sounds to unfold naturally throughout the space. Many people experience a sense of relaxation, restoration and wellbeing, while also discovering different ways of listening, reflecting and connecting with themselves and the environment around them. The Experience The experience begins with a short introduction before participants are invited to settle comfortably, either lying down or seated. Sound is created and delivered live using a combination of Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, voice and subtle percussion, creating a layered and evolving sound environment. At times the sound may be gentle and spacious, while at others it may become richer and more immersive. There is no particular way you need to experience it. The invitation is simply to listen, notice and allow the experience to unfold in your own way. As the experience progresses, there is space for stillness, reflection and sensory rest. The Setting The experience takes place within the spacious studio at Ards Yoga & Wellness Rooms in Newtownards. Participants may choose to lie down or remain seated throughout the experience. What to Bring To support your comfort during the experience, you are welcome to bring: • A yoga mat • A pillow and blanket • Comfortable clothing • A bottle of water Seating can be accommodated if preferred. Please get in touch in advance if you require a chair or have any additional accessibility requirements. Event Information Duration: Approximately 90 minutes Suitability: Ages 16+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please Note: This experience may not be suitable during the first trimester of pregnancy. If you are sensitive to sound, you are welcome to bring earplugs or anything additional that may support your comfort during the experience. Cancellations & Refunds Places are limited and advance booking is required. If you are unable to attend, please get in touch as soon as possible. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. After this time, tickets are non-refundable, although you are welcome to transfer your place to another person. If the event needs to be cancelled by the organiser, ticket holders will receive a refund. About Tessa Ann Tessa Ann is a sound artist and immersive experience creator based in Northern Ireland. She is the founder of The Sound Healing Spa and developer of Sound Space Connect®, a framework exploring the relationship between sound, space, environment and human experience. Through immersive sound experiences, Tessa explores how sound, listening and atmosphere can shape the way people feel, perceive and connect within a space.
