A deeply restful sound bath to support the nervous system and gently soften into Autumn 🍂 Softening into Autumn A Restorative Sound Bath 🍂 Join me for a deeply relaxing evening of sound and stillness at The Bridge Between Community Centre in Barry, as we settle into autumn and the slower rhythm of the season. We’ll begin with a gentle guided meditation, taking a moment to arrive, ground and notice the natural invitation of autumn to slow down, turn inwards and make a little more space for rest. From there, simply get cosy and receive the sounds and vibrations of crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gong, drum, flute, chimes and intuitive voice, with plenty of space for quiet and stillness. As the evenings grow darker and the world outside begins to slow, this is an hour to do the same. There is nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to get to. This event is suitable for anyone looking to relax, unwind and take some time for themselves. No previous experience is necessary. Contraindications Unfortunately this event is not suitable for those in the first trimester of pregnancy, those with sound-induced epilepsy, or individuals experiencing severe or acute mental health conditions. About the Facilitator Tara is an experienced professional musician, music educator, vocal coach and sound therapist, with training from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the International Sound Healing Academy. With over 20 years’ experience performing and teaching music, Tara has spent much of her life exploring sound as a way to create connection, expression and wellbeing. Her work has taken her into a wide range of settings, from bands and festivals to special schools, care settings and community spaces. For the past three years, she has also been offering restorative sound baths across Wales and Bristol. Tara’s approach to sound is gentle, intuitive and nervous-system aware. Her sound baths begin with a short guided meditation before unfolding into a spacious journey through voice, crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gong, drum, flute, chimes and other therapeutic instruments. Rather than filling every moment with sound, Tara places importance on careful listening, sensitivity and space, allowing moments of sound and stillness to sit alongside one another and giving the body time to settle naturally. At the heart of her work is a belief in the power of sound to bring us back into the present moment, helping us to slow down, listen inwardly and reconnect with ourselves.
