Home Education

Join us! Home Education Support Classes | Ages 5–17½ you know where your child really is with their learning? Home education can give your child the freedom to learn differently, but it can also leave parents asking: Are they working at the right level? What should they know by now? Are there gaps in their learning? How do I know what to teach next? Does my child actually understand what I'm teaching? What if the way I'm teaching isn't the way they learn best? Our Home Education Support Classes in the heart of Derry/Londonderry are designed to give both parents and children clarity, confidence and practical support throughout their home education journey. Understand your child's learning We look beyond simply completing worksheets. We'll help you understand: WHERE THEY ARE Their current learning level, strengths, knowledge and areas that may need further development. HOW THEY LEARN What types of explanations, resources, activities and learning environments appear to work best for them. WHAT THEY NEED NEXT The skills, knowledge and learning experiences they can work towards next. HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT THEM Practical strategies, resources and guidance you can take home and use immediately. Bring what you're already using Bring your child's: • Workbooks • Worksheets • Books • Curriculum • Completed work • Assessments • Projects • Learning resources • Questions or concerns You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. We'll work with what you already have and help you make sense of it. Parents receive guidance too Because home education isn't just about the child. You need to understand the learning journey too. Depending on your child's age and needs, you'll receive guidance around their current level, progress, learning needs, areas for development, suitable resources and practical next steps. We can also provide learning reports, parent guides and recommendations to help you continue supporting your child at home. From age 5 through 17½, learning needs change significantly which is why our approach considers your child's age, stage, independence, interests, strengths and goals rather than treating every learner the same. You don't need to be an expert. You just need to want to understand your child better. Come with what you have. Ask the questions you've been unsure about. Leave with a clearer understanding of your child's learning and what to do next. THE BON ACADEMY Home Education Support | Ages 5–17½ 📍 Derry/Londonderry Understand their learning.
