Flesh to Their Bones

Flesh to Their Bones is an in-person day of creative making for artists exploring different timelines around the village of Pittenweem. Flesh to Their Bones is an in-person day of creative making for artists. About the event Taking place in Pittenweem, the day focuses on witchcraft, spells and healing evocations for nature. Led by ArtMovesFife, with artists Karen Strang , Alicja Lukasiak and Steve Ratomski, the artmove will trace the steps of remembered women and men through this late medieval settlement. We can reimagine the sounds and smells of living in this tight knit community on the edge of the River Forth. An outlook of liminal space between sea and land. Life and death in the everyday labour of fishing or along the coast, the salt panning at Elie; the blackened plumes of smoked blood overhanging the coastline. We will move together across geological and tide timelines in land and water in a celebration of Samhain and Halloween, of wiseness, of creative practice and imagined protective charms for the earth and each other. Cost is a suggested donation of £10 payable on the day to help cover art materials and venue hire. If you book a place and can't make it on the day please let us know so we can reallocate this space to another artist as places on this artmove are limited. Thankyou
