Launch It Dundee STEP Up Start Up: Ideas to Impact Creative Workshops

FREE expert-led workshops for aspiring/growing entrepreneurs aged 18-30 as part of our Skills, Training, Enterprise Pathway Programme. Got a business idea? Let’s bring it to life! Join Launch It Dundee for Ideas to Impact, a four-week creative workshop series kicking off our STEP Up, Start Up pre-start business support programme. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already exploring self-employment, these practical, hands-on sessions will help you develop your ideas, understand your customers, build your brand and take your first steps towards starting a business. Led by Launch It Dundee’s Enterprise Manager Lianne and Dundee Launch Iteer Mel Ayala, founder of Creative N’ Chaotic and Ayala Studio, the series brings together practical business guidance and creative expertise to help you turn your ideas into action. Mel is a Spanish designer and illustrator based in Dundee, with a background in computer games technology, programming, graphic design and illustration. She has worked with businesses and organisations to develop their visual identities and created branding and merchandise for events including Securi-Tay, Europe’s largest student-led cybersecurity conference. Through her own fashion and lifestyle brand, Creative N’ Chaotic, and design studio, Ayala Studio, Mel brings a wealth of creative and entrepreneurial experience to the series. What to expect Across four in-person workshops, you’ll gain practical skills, creative inspiration and the confidence to take your next steps towards self-employment. All sessions run on Thursdays and begin at 6pm at Kandahar House, Dundee. Workshop dates: 19 November – Designing a Product or Service Develop your business ideas, understand customers & turn ideas into something tangible. 26 November – Personal Branding Create a brand identity & understand how to stand out. 3 December – Getting Creative with Canva Learn to create promotional materials, social media graphics & branding assets. 10 December – Building Your Website Bring everything together & create an online presence for your business. Who can attend? This series is for young people aged 18–30 in Dundee and surrounding areas who are interested in starting a business or exploring self-employment.
