Graverobbing - After Poems, After Dark

This workshop looks at the form of the After Poem in a creative and spooky hour for any writers of all experiences This workshop looks at the form of the After Poem, a creative act that acknowledges its catalyst. An "after poem" is a piece of writing inspired by, in homage to, or written in conversation with another specific poet or work. Participants will spend time with seasonally spooky works, analysing elements, they wish to draw from these works in order to form their own creations. This session is a quickfire, generative workshop, aimed at offering participants a conducive model to creating new works and ideas that have a direct relationship with the works that inspire them. The workshop also looks at the ethics of the after poem, and treading the line between taking inspiration from stimulus, and stealing. About the Workshop Series Spooky things are coming to SWAMP! Join creatives from SP Square CIC as we create ghost buddies, cast spells and rob graves for inspiration. These four workshops are designed for people of all experiences and abilities to conjure their creativity and make a mess with confidence. These sessions are delivered by trained artists and writers from Stravaig Creative Arts and Glasgow's City of Poets.
