Dressmaking 3 Day course Get ready to give your garment that certain Je ne sais quoi! Class Dates: Set 1: Thursdays: Week 1 - 14th January, Week 2 - 121st January, Week 3 - 28th January In this 3 day class you will be able to bring in your own dressmaking projects to make under the guidance of our experienced tutor. You will be shown how to measure yourself correctly and choose the correct size to make; how to trace off your pattern pieces and grade or adjust as necessary; and how to assemble your pattern, including using notches, inserting zippers or buttonholes, and finish your seams. Simple patterns suitable for beginners or adventurous beginners are best. If you need guidance picking a pattern then our team in store can help guide you. You will need to provide all your own fabric and notions, again our in store team can assist with understanding fabric and notions charts. You will NOT need to bring a sewing machine or overlocker as these will be provided for your use during the classes. This class is over 3 days on consecutive weeks, you will need to be able to attend all the dates to make the best use of this course. Missed dates cannot be swapped. Never sewn before? Try our beginners class here Supplied: Machines, Scissors, Pins, Tape Measures, Tea and Coffee. Please no not bring additional sewing machines and overlockers. Required: Fabric, Sewing Pattern, Haberdashery, Lunch. Due to unforseen circumstances dates in January may be subject to change, transfers or refunds will be available in that instance.
