The Gift of Words - Create a Poem to Give this Christmas

In a world of mass-produced presents and endless Christmas shopping, why not give something that money can’t buy? In this relaxed, three-hour creative writing workshop, you’ll discover how poetry can transform everyday thoughts, memories and observations into something meaningful — a truly unique gift created from your own words. Through inspiring examples, playful writing exercises and a little experimentation, you’ll explore different poetic forms and techniques before developing a poem of your own. There’ll be time to shape and refine your writing, with an opportunity to share your work in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you enjoy creative writing or simply fancy trying something different, no previous poetry-writing experience is needed. Step away from the commercial bustle of Christmas, get curious with words, and leave with a poem you’re proud of. What do I need to bring? A notebook and pen. Festive refreshments included. Please note we run all of our courses based on a minimum number of participants. If you are no longer able to attend please contact the team at your earliest convenience. Cancellations received within 48 hours of the class start time are non-refundable. Please remember when putting in ticket information for more than one ticket that the correct information is provided for each individual person.
