Waders and waterfowl at Tollesbury Wick Nature Reserve (EWT)

A walk along the sea wall to see winter waders and wildfowl, and the occasional raptor. We will walk along the seawall from Tollesbury Marina where you can appreciate the Essex coast, the history which formed it and the wonderful wildlife it supports. We hope to visit the bird hide at the lagoon to witness the wildfowl and waders that gather here over winter to feed on the rich wet grassland, including large flocks of Golden Plover, Lapwing and Wigeon The event is free but a voluntary donation of £2 per person is suggested. All welcome, whatever your level of birdwatching knowledge. Bring suitable clothing and footwear for the weather, especially if it has been raining in previous days.
