Candlelight Meditation and Sound Journey Lincoln (South Hykeham)

Journey into the healing power of sound with a serene and immersive candlelit meditation and sound bath. The intention of this experience is to offer a safe, warm and welcoming space for you to enjoy some well-deserved “me time”. A chance to slow down, unwind, and reset ready for the week ahead. What to expect A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience where you are immersed in therapeutic sound vibrations using instruments designed to calm the nervous system by letting your body absorb the harmonious frequencies. Participants simply lay on a yoga or padded mat, or comfy chair, listening as the sounds guide you into a state of deep rest and renewal. You will begin the experience with a brief introduction and then I will guide you through a 15 minute grounding meditation to relax the body and mind. This will lead you to immerse yourself into sounds such as the crystal bowls, tibetan bowls, koshi chimes, swing chime, wind gong, handpan drum, vocal chants and shamanic drumming. We will then finish with an affirming meditation or poem. There’s nothing you need to do — simply arrive, rest, and receive What to wear Wear loose comfortable clothing that will help you to relax. It can be a good idea to wear layers so you can adjust your temperature. What to bring • An open heart and mind • A yoga mat, comfortable chair or something soft that you will be comfortable to sit or lie down on for the 75 mins. If you prefer to sit, you are welcome to bring a comfortable chair. • A cushion or pillow • Blankets or duvet • A water bottle to keep hydrated • Anything else that would help make you as feel as comfortable as possible (an eye mask can be a good idea, some people also like to use a knee cushion) Important Please arrive at 16.20 to allow time to settle in and get comfortable before we begin. The doors will be closed at 16.30 for a prompt start. Due to the nature of the event, late arrivals will not be admitted. Unfortunately I am not able to offer refunds for late arrivals or non-attendees. If you are not able to attend, I invite you to pass your place onto someone else. They promote deep relaxation which calms the nervous system, lowering cortisol and can induce states similar to deep sleep. It helps to quiet the mind and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety leading to inner peace and a sense of rejuvenation. They may not be suitable for you if you have sound sensitivities, tinnitus, sound induced epilepsy, or other medical conditions, certain sounds could cause discomfort or trigger symptoms. While they’re usually harmless, please exercise your own judgement or consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
